From Energy Work to Self-Inquiry: The Foundations of My Sessions
In my sessions, no two meetings are ever the same. Each one unfolds in response to where you are, emotionally, energetically, spiritually. I don't follow a fixed script or linear process. Instead, I draw from a dynamic set of tools, each designed to meet you precisely where healing is most needed. Below is a look into the foundational methods I blend together in our time together.
Energy Work
At the core of much of my practice is integrative energy work, the gentle art of sensing, clearing, and rebalancing the subtle energetic fields that surround and flow through us. This includes working directly with chakras, aura layers, and energetic blockages. Energy work creates a container of safety and spaciousness, where the body and psyche can begin to reorganize themselves back toward wholeness.
Energy work operates on the understanding that we are more than our physical bodies, we exist within and emanate layers of energetic information that affect our health, emotions, and consciousness. During our sessions, I may sense areas where energy feels stagnant, depleted, or overcharged. Using techniques such as hands-on healing, energetic scanning, and intentional clearing, we work together to restore natural flow and vitality.
This might manifest as working with specific chakras that feel closed or spinning irregularly, clearing energetic cords that no longer serve your highest good, or identifying and releasing trapped emotions that have crystallized in your energy field. The process is always gentle and collaborative, your system sets the pace, and I simply facilitate what wants to naturally unfold. Many clients experience profound shifts in their physical symptoms, emotional patterns, and overall sense of well-being through this work, often feeling lighter, more grounded, and energetically coherent after sessions.
Ericksonian Hypnosis
Unlike traditional directive hypnosis, Ericksonian hypnosis is a conversational, permissive approach that respects the unconscious mind's innate intelligence. Developed by psychiatrist Milton Erickson, this method uses metaphor, storytelling, and language patterns to bypass resistance and invite organic transformation. I use it to support deep states of receptivity, helping you access your own inner resources with ease.
What makes Ericksonian hypnosis particularly powerful is its indirect approach, rather than commanding change, it plants seeds of possibility through carefully crafted stories, analogies, and suggestions that speak directly to your unconscious mind. This method honors your inner wisdom and allows transformation to emerge naturally, without force or coercion. During our sessions, you might find yourself drifting into a comfortable trance state while I share a metaphorical story about a tree learning to bend with the wind, or a river finding its way around obstacles.
The beauty of this approach lies in its respect for your autonomy and natural healing capacity. Your unconscious mind will take what serves you and leave the rest, creating change that feels authentic and sustainable. Clients often report insights, shifts in perspective, and behavioral changes that seem to happen effortlessly in the days and weeks following sessions. This method is particularly effective for addressing deep-seated patterns, fears, and limiting beliefs that haven't responded to more direct approaches.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP is a method of rewiring how we think, feel, and respond. It draws on the connection between neurological processes, language, and learned behavior. I may use NLP techniques to help shift long-standing beliefs, internal narratives, or reactions that no longer serve you, enabling change at the level of thought and emotion without forcing it.
NLP recognizes that our internal representations, the pictures we make in our minds, the words we say to ourselves, and the feelings we generate, directly influence our experience of reality. Through specific techniques such as reframing, anchoring, and timeline work, we can literally reprogram these internal patterns to create more empowering and supportive mental-emotional landscapes.
For example, we might work with a traumatic memory by changing its visual qualities, making it smaller, dimmer, or more distant, which can dramatically reduce its emotional impact. Or we could install a new, empowering belief by anchoring it to positive physical sensations and vivid mental imagery. NLP techniques can also help collapse limiting beliefs about yourself, your capabilities, or your worth by revealing the faulty logic or outdated programming that created them in the first place.
The process is often surprisingly quick and effective because it works directly with the structure of experience rather than just the content. Rather than spending months analyzing why you feel a certain way, we can often shift the pattern itself in a single session. This makes NLP particularly valuable for addressing phobias, limiting beliefs, unwanted emotional reactions, and self-sabotaging behaviors.
Guided Meditation
Guided meditation is a collaborative inner journey. Whether we're grounding, clearing, or invoking deep insight, I will guide you gently with my voice, helping you relax the analytical mind and sink into a more expansive state of presence. These journeys are not passive, they're invitations to explore and meet yourself in new ways.
The guided meditations I offer are tailored specifically to what your system needs in the moment. We might journey to connect with your inner child, explore past lives that are affecting your current experience, or travel to sacred inner landscapes where healing and wisdom await. My role is to create a safe container with my voice and presence while providing gentle direction that allows you to go deeper than you might on your own.
These meditative journeys often include elements of active imagination, where you engage with the images, symbols, and beings that arise naturally in your consciousness. You might find yourself in dialogue with an inner wise woman, receiving healing from a circle of light beings, or discovering a hidden part of yourself that holds keys to your current challenges. The insights and healing that emerge from these states of expanded awareness often prove to be profoundly transformative and personally meaningful.
What makes guided meditation particularly powerful in our work together is that it bypasses the rational mind's tendency to analyze and control, allowing deeper truths and healing energies to emerge organically. Many clients find that solutions to long-standing problems simply appear during these journeys, or that emotional wounds are spontaneously healed through encounters with compassionate inner figures.
Visualization
Visualization complements both meditation and NLP by engaging the imagination as a tool for healing and transformation. Together we might visualize cutting cords, restoring energy flow, meeting inner guides, or standing in your power. When the body and mind both believe in what they're "seeing," real change can begin to take root.
The power of visualization lies in the brain's inability to distinguish between vividly imagined experiences and actual ones, both create neural pathways and emotional responses that can reshape our reality. Through guided visualizations, we can literally rehearse new ways of being, heal old wounds, and install empowering resources at a cellular level.
These visualization exercises might involve seeing yourself surrounded by protective light, imagining toxic energies leaving your body as dark smoke, or visualizing your future self offering guidance and encouragement to who you are today. We might work with archetypal images such as the warrior, the healer, or the wise elder, allowing you to embody these qualities through vivid inner experience.
The process engages multiple sensory channels, not just visual imagery, but also sounds, sensations, emotions, and even smells or tastes that arise during the visualization. This multi-dimensional approach helps ensure that the healing work penetrates deeply into your psyche and nervous system. Clients often report that visualized healings feel as real and impactful as physical ones, creating lasting changes in their energy, emotions, and life circumstances.
Spiritual Energies & Guides
There are moments in session when I call upon or sense the presence of spiritual energies, your higher self, ancestral wisdom, or guides that resonate with your soul's journey. This isn't dogmatic or prescriptive. Rather, it's a deeply intuitive part of the work that brings in intelligence beyond the conscious mind. These presences often offer clarity, comfort, or direct healing.
This aspect of the work emerges naturally and organically, always in alignment with your openness and belief system. I may sense the presence of your spirit guides, feel the loving energy of deceased family members, or connect with your higher self's wisdom and perspective. Sometimes power animals, angels, or other spiritual beings make themselves known, offering their unique gifts for your healing journey.
The guidance and healing that comes through these spiritual connections is often remarkably specific and relevant to your current life circumstances. You might receive messages that provide missing puzzle pieces to understand your life's patterns, or experience direct energetic transmissions that catalyze profound shifts in your consciousness and well-being. These encounters frequently bring a sense of being deeply seen, loved, and supported by forces greater than ourselves.
I approach this work with deep reverence and discernment, always honoring the sacredness of these connections while maintaining healthy boundaries. The spiritual energies that show up are invariably loving, wise, and deeply committed to your highest good. Many clients find that these experiences not only facilitate healing but also strengthen their connection to their own spirituality and sense of purpose in life. The comfort and guidance received often continues to support them long after our session ends, creating an ongoing relationship with their spiritual support team.
Self-Inquiry: Self Discovery Through the Emotions
One of the most profound and direct paths to healing and awakening that I bring into our work together is the practice of emotional inquiry, as transmitted through my teacher, Gangaji. While traditional self-inquiry often focuses on mental questions like "Who am I?", an approach pioneered by Ramana Maharshi, I have found that for most people, this can lead to mental confusion and conceptual seeking. Gangaji's method of emotional inquiry is immediate and direct, allowing the mind's direct discovery of who one is without any words or beliefs needed.
Emotional inquiry recognizes that our emotions are not obstacles to overcome or problems to solve, but rather doorways into the deepest truth of our being. Rather than trying to understand ourselves mentally or analyze our way to freedom, we use the raw immediacy of emotional experience as a direct path to recognizing what we truly are. This approach bypasses the mind's tendency to create concepts and stories, leading us straight into the living reality of our essential nature.
The beauty of emotional inquiry lies in its radical simplicity and accessibility. When you're experiencing anger, sadness, fear, or any intense emotion, instead of trying to figure out why you feel this way or how to make it go away, you're invited to dive directly into the center of the emotional experience itself. This isn't about wallowing in emotion or dramatizing it, but rather about meeting it with such complete presence and openness that something profound is revealed.
In our sessions, when strong emotions arise, whether grief, rage, terror, or overwhelming love, I guide you to move toward the emotion rather than away from it. We don't analyze its origins or try to understand its meaning. Instead, we investigate the very nature of the one who is experiencing the emotion. As you sink fully into the feeling, without resistance or story, something extraordinary happens: you begin to recognize that you are not the emotion itself, but the vast, open space in which the emotion is arising.
This recognition comes not through thinking or reasoning, but through direct, immediate experience. In the depths of profound sadness, for instance, you might suddenly realize that the sadness is happening within something unchanging and untroubled. In the fire of intense anger, you may discover a peace that was never disturbed by the anger's presence. This isn't a mental understanding, it's a direct recognition that happens beyond words, beyond concepts, beyond the mind's ability to grasp or explain.
What makes this approach so powerful is that emotions, unlike thoughts, cannot be easily dismissed or rationalized away. They demand presence. They require your full attention. And in that moment of complete presence with what is most difficult or intense, the illusion of being a separate, limited self naturally dissolves. You discover firsthand that your true nature is not threatened by any emotional experience, no matter how overwhelming it might seem.
Gangaji's method teaches us to welcome everything, not because we enjoy suffering, but because everything that arises in consciousness is pointing us back to the truth of what we are. Each emotion, no matter how uncomfortable, becomes a teacher showing us where we're still identified with limitation, where we're still believing ourselves to be something small and vulnerable. Through complete willingness to feel whatever is present, we discover our inherent invulnerability.
During our sessions, this inquiry often leads to profound breakthroughs that happen in an instant. A client might be deep in the grip of despair, feeling utterly hopeless and alone, when suddenly, through staying present with the feeling rather than running from it, they recognize the indestructible awareness that knows the despair. In that moment of recognition, there's often spontaneous laughter or tears of relief as they realize they have been searching for what they already are.
This work doesn't require any spiritual knowledge or practice. You don't need to understand chakras, meditation techniques, or philosophical concepts. All that's needed is a willingness to stop running from your own experience and to meet whatever is present with radical honesty and openness. The emotions themselves become your greatest teachers, each one offering a direct pathway home to yourself.
The transformation that occurs through emotional inquiry is immediate and lasting because it's based on direct recognition rather than belief or understanding. Once you've tasted the truth that you are the awareness in which all emotions arise and pass away, this knowing becomes available in every moment of emotional intensity. You develop what we might call "emotional fearlessness", not because you become numb to feeling, but because you know yourself to be That which cannot be harmed by any feeling.
This approach revolutionizes your relationship with difficult emotions. Instead of viewing them as problems to be solved or states to be avoided, they become welcomed opportunities for deeper recognition of your true nature. Anxiety becomes a doorway to peace, grief becomes a portal to love, and anger becomes a pathway to understanding your inherent power and wholeness.
What I find most remarkable about this method is how it reveals the absolute ordinariness of enlightenment. There's nothing special you need to attain or achieve, every emotion you've ever felt has been arising in the same vast, aware space that is your true nature. The recognition is always available, right in the midst of whatever you're experiencing. Through emotional inquiry, you discover that your deepest suffering and your greatest joy are both expressions of the same infinite consciousness that you are.
The healing that occurs through this work is not about becoming someone different or better, but about recognizing what has always been true. As you stop running from your emotional experience and instead dive fully into it, you discover an unshakeable foundation of being that no emotion can disturb. This recognition brings with it a profound trust in life itself, knowing that whatever arises in your experience, no matter how challenging, is ultimately an invitation to recognize the truth of who you are.
Your Unique Healing Journey
Each person who enters my practice brings their own unique constellation of experiences, wounds, and wisdom. The methods I've shared, energy work, Ericksonian hypnosis, NLP, guided meditation, visualization, spiritual connection, and self-inquiry, are not rigid techniques but living tools that adapt to serve your individual path to wholeness.
What moves me most deeply about this work is witnessing the moment when someone reconnects with their own capacity to heal. Whether through the gentle release of an old pattern, the sudden clarity of a spiritual insight, or the profound peace that comes from energetic realignment, these breakthroughs remind us that healing is not something we force, it's something we allow.
Your system already knows how to heal. My role is simply to create a safe, sacred space where that natural intelligence can unfold. Together, we become archaeologists of the soul, carefully uncovering and restoring the radiant being you've always been beneath layers of conditioning, trauma, and mistaken identity.
If you feel called to explore this work, trust that impulse. Your soul is always guiding you toward what you need most. I'm here to walk alongside you on that journey, holding space for whatever wants to emerge, and celebrating the courageous act of choosing your own healing and transformation.
